Thanksgiving Dinner 2012

Usually for Thanksgiving, we join other American missionaries for a Thanksgiving meal. This year, we decided to do it at home and invite our Thai friends. We are so excited that many of them came. Some were not able to make it because of work. We are so thankful for the ones who were brave enough to try the strange (to them) American foods.

Darlene loves to cook and host.

We look for every opportunity to build friendships and share God's love.

Our Thai friends weren't quite sure about the turkey at first
but once they got a taste for it, they kept coming back
for it. We need to prepare two turkeys next year
since we plan to do this every year now.

15 Wedding Anniversary

Thanksgiving week this year was a week of celebration for us. We started off celebrating our 15th anniversary by running a half-marathon together - 21 kilometers (13+ miles). We made it! Praise the Lord for strength, health, and endurance.

After the race, we headed off to an island off the Gulf of Thailand for a couple days. Thankful to the Lord for a generous person whom He used for us to have this getaway. We are also thankful for our friend and Thailand team-mate, Liz Stevens, for keeping the boys for us.

Word of Life English Camp 2012

We had the opportunity to join the Word Life English Camp in October for the first time. We had a blast and so did our three boys and the three girls from our church plant. Here are three pictures just to let you get a glimpse of our week with these bunch.

Ed assisted the games coordinator. Everyone looked forward to game time.

Ed was able to share his life story/testimony one evening.

All of us the attendees this year. There were 60+ campers, several staff,
and 17 missionary kids from ages 11 years down to two months old.
About 90% of the campers were unbelievers.
