Annual Songkran Festival (2016)

Songkran is Thailand's New Year's celebration. It lasts three days (April 13-15) and is most well known for the large water fights that ensue between the people. The tradition originated from the pouring of water on Buddha statues and on the palms of their elders' hands. The pouring of the water on the statue represents the washing off of one's sins and bad luck. Unfortunately, they do not know the truth about Christ and His sacrifice for us. His blood washed away our sins, and following Him results in our great reward when our time comes.

Darlene's English Class

Darlene teaches phonics class during the weekend. The students can be a little rowdy sometimes, but they do enjoy learning with her every week.

It was all boys in class today!
